Mobility Programmes

Students of our university can participate in various mobility programmes:

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ student mobility for the purpose of study is the completion of part of the study abroad with financial support from the European Union. Any student enrolled in a study programme at UJS and who has completed the first year of the first cycle of university studies can apply for Erasmus+ mobility. Each student may undertake Erasmus+ mobility at each level of his/her studies, while the duration of the stay at all levels of studies together may not exceed 12 months.

CEEPUS

The word CEEPUS was coined as an acronym for "Central European Exchange Program for University Studies

CEEPUS creates a closed framework for cooperation between universities, within which individual participating institutions from member countries can form their own networks.

Mobility grants from the Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary

The Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary regularly publishes mobility grant calls, which are open to most JSU students.

Our university contributes to the success of its students also by recognizing credits earned during foreign studies to the maximum extent possible.

Leisure Activities For JSU Students

J.Selye University and the city of Komárom offer great opportunities for active recreation in addition to your studies.

The Women's Choir of J.Selye University, Cantus Iuventus, was founded in the academic year 2013/14 with 35 members. It currently boasts more than 70 members. The Student Union of J.Selye  University organises several events for students every year. These include the University Gala, Komárom University Days, Faculty Days, quizzes and discussion evenings. The University sports centre has 3 well-equipped gyms, a mirrored fitness room, an aerobics room and a large gym, which are open to students and staff who want to do sports, as well as being available to the public. The multi-purpose sports field next to the Dormitory is also accessible in the evening thanks to its lighting.

The city of Komárom offers a wide variety of venues and a rich programme of activities for culture and sport lovers. The Fortress Komárno, situated on 13 hectares at the mouth of the Danube and Váh rivers, right next to the Selye János University Conference Centre, is a valuable historical monument even in its present state.

One of Slovakia's Hungarian theatre companies, the Jókai Theatre, is located in the city centre and has long been a cornerstone of Hungarian theatre in the Highlands. The Egressy Béni Municipal Cultural Centre hosts a number of musical and theatrical productions every year, as well as several festivals. There are also several museums, libraries, churches and galleries for those interested in culture. The city organises several major events every year. These include the traditional Komárom Days, the Jókai Days, the András Day Fair, the Komárom Wine Tasting or the Lehár Summer. And film lovers can enjoy the state-of-the-art Tatra Cinema, which also screens 3D films.

Professional sports lovers will also find something to do, with the Slovak Cup winning and champion VK Spartak UJS volleyball team, the Slovak Cup winning basketball team and the second division football team.

The city's waterfront location offers excellent opportunities for water sports enthusiasts, with the Komárom Kayak-Kenu Club providing a great support. There are also bicycle, boat and pedalo rentals in the town. As the EuroVelo 6 cycle route connecting western France and the Black Sea passes through Komárno, it offers cyclists a variety of multi-directional touring options, complemented by regionally developed cycle paths.

The thermal baths in Komárom are open all year round for relaxation and recreation. During the beach season, there are 7 different pools for bathers. In winter, sports lovers can choose between the indoor swimming pool and the artificial ice rink. The Hammer Gym, Black CrossGym, Max Gym Komárno and many other gyms provide facilities and equipment for those who choose bodybuilding as a sport.

In the afternoon and evening, the city's bars and pubs, such as the Ramses and the Saturn, offer a great place for a chat, even for a game of billiards or darts. The regular cultural programme of the Pince University Club is varied enough (book presentations, painting exhibitions, discussion evenings) to provide music, dance and disco entertainment. After a long day, you can enjoy a coffee in one of the city's friendly cafés. The rich offer of Kávy sveta or CAFE FREI provides quality for gourmets.

For dining, there are many options both on campus and in the city's restaurants. To give a non-exhaustive list: fast food restaurants (Tripl's), pizzerias (Lux Pizzeria, Allegra Pizzeria, Neptun Pizzeria, Tatai), takeaways (Melinda's buffet) offer a variety of fast and varied meals. For street-food lovers, there is the Francesco restaurant, where you can enjoy an excellent cocktail with your quesadilla. Of course, there are also more sophisticated restaurants (Bella Restaurant, Klapka Restaurant, Zucca Restaurant, Bow Garden...), which add to the city's culture with their high gastronomic quality. Most of these restaurants also offer a daily menu, which can be consulted in advance on the Kam na menu? website.
